Carrie Roninger, DPT received
her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for
Health Sciences, St Augustine, Florida. She has a B.S. in Exercise
Science with an emphasis in athletic training and pre-physical therapy from
Sonoma State University, Rohnert Park, CA. She attended Ohlone Junior College
in Fremont, CA and was a collegiate softball player at both Ohlone and Sonoma
State. Carrie also played for the Sacramento Sirens professional football
team during the 2008-2009 season. Prior
to opening Laguna Physical Therapy (LPT) in 2007 with Kristy Milanese, DPT,
Carrie was with the Pediatric Therapy Network in Torrance, CA where she focused
on individualized pediatric programs and treatment design in clinic, school, early
intervention and home settings. In addition, Carrie worked for the Little
Company of Mary Hospital in San Pedro, CA and Rebound Rehabilitation in St.
Augustine, FL. Certifications include:
Dynamic Ankle Foot Orthoses; Sensory Integration Training; Adult, Child and
Infant CPR and Blood Bourne Pathogens and Infectious disease control. Outside of her physical therapy practice, Carrie enjoys all
dance from ballet to hip-hop and participating in triathlons. She is
currently training for the AIDS Ride 9 in June 2010 which is a seven day

Carrie has also spent three
years studying karate and kick boxing. She enjoys being part of the Elk
Grove community and working with children both in the clinic and off-site in
schools across the Sacramento valley. Carrie

Kristy Milanese

Kristina Milanese, DPT received
her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for
Health Sciences, St Augustine, Florida. She has a Bachelor of Arts in
Psychology with a business minor from California State University, Sacramento
where she was a recipient of the "Images of Excellence" Award as well
a University Scholarship for Athletics in Woman's Soccer.

physical therapy California and is currently accepting new patients.
Kathleen Peck

Kathleen Cassidy Peck, MPT,
has her Master of Physical Therapy, from CSU Sacramento, and a Bachelor of
Science, from the University of California, at Davis, in Neurobiology,
Physiology and Behavior. "Patients can expect a
well-rounded approach to treatment, as I am open to new techniques and ways to
improve treatment," says Kathleen, "I love working with motivated
individuals of all ages."

Sarah E. McDowell, DPT, has extensive experience in women’s health physical therapy including pregnancy, post-partum, incontinence and sexual dysfunction in addition to a practice focus on orthopedics, manual therapy and sports medicine.
She was most recently with Alegent Health Bellevue Physical Therapy in Bellevue, NE and, before that, Alegent Health’s Midlands Hospital in Papillion, NE. Sarah received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.
“Patients can expect a knowledgeable, professional and patient-oriented therapist. I am dedicated to helping patients obtain their goals,” said Sarah E. McDowell, DPT. “When it comes to women’s health, I want patients to know that there are many options available through physical therapy to help them overcome their diagnoses. After growing up in the area, I look forward to working at LPT and getting involved in the community.”

Christine Prasad

Christine Prasad joined Laguna Physical Therapy in August 2006 as the Office Manager and ensures that every effort is made to provide patients with the best care possible. Patients will find Christine friendly, compassionate and able to help with insurance questions and paperwork. Physician's offices will appreciate Christine's team player attitude and strong organization skills and works to get patients scheduled as quickly as possible. Insurance adjusters and Nurse Case Managers will find a solid professional skilled as provided requested information in a timely manner. "Working at LPT is like a family to me," says Christine, "I enjoy every aspect of my job". Outside of LPT, Christine is happily married with two brilliant boys and a pug named Bugsy. She enjoys spending time with her family and assists in her husband's mortgage and real estate firm.
Shannon Thompson

Shannon Thompson has been with Laguna Physical Therapy since July 2008 as a physical therapy aide and holds a BS, Exercise Biology from the University of California, Davis. She works closely with LPT physical therapists assisting patients through exercise programs, performing ultrasound and electrical stimulation as well as performs general office duties. Shannon is currently a dance instructor at Pride Gymnastics & Dance Academy in Dixon, CA teaching dance and movement to children ages 2-18 years old. She has been a counselor for Old Adobe School District 6th Grade Outdoor Education Camp in Navarro, CA since 2002. Shannon enjoys working with people of all ages, the outdoors, dance, reading and travel.
Mitchell Johns

Mitchell (Mitch) Johns is a physical therapy aide for Laguna Physical Therapy and holds a BS, Health Science Pre-Physical Therapy from Chicago State University. Mitch assists LPT physical therapists with patient care providing exercises, electrical stimulation and ultrasounds as well helps in the front office checking in patients, working with insurance companies and other clerical tasks. Prior to joining LPT, he was a Certified Personal Trainer for 24 Hour Fitness in Chula Vista, CA and a PT Technician at Sport and Spine in San Diego, CA. Mitch has been volunteering for the in the Child Development Daycare at Yuba Community College in Clearlake, CA since 2004. Mitch continues to work towards his career goal as a Physical Therapist.
